Overview

CactusUpdates ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for tracking or advertising.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address, used to create and secure your account. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email you choose to share.
• Photos & videos — the clips you choose to record or upload, so they can be compiled into your weekly reels.
• Audio — audio captured as part of the video clips you record.
• Identifiers — a user ID and a device push token, used to deliver your account's content and notify you when a reel is ready.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to provide the app's features: authenticating your account, compiling your clips into personal and group reels, sharing reels with members of your group, and sending you a notification when a reel is ready. We do not use your data for tracking across other apps or websites.

How your information is shared

Clips you upload are visible only to members of the group you join. We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, and messaging) to operate the app. Firebase processes data on our behalf under Google's privacy and security terms. We do not share your information with any other third parties.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app: tap the menu (⋯) on the home screen and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, your uploaded clips, and your group membership. You may also email us at yeetermemes@gmail.com to request deletion.

Children's privacy

CactusUpdates is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
